Gritter allows you to create group streams on Twitter. You can create public or private groups, and then message or follow the whole group at once!
To see Gritter in action, follow twirpo on Twitter. (”Twirp” was my original name for Gritter, the “o” means “open group.”) To send messages to the group, just send them “@twirpo”.
