@Ira: I don't think these are the only ways to find things, just good starting points. I'd love to hear how other people navigate the net and find new stuff.

@Ben: I'll need to check techcrunch more often. I was excited about Mobaganda but, like you say, I haven't planned an event recently.

@Sally: ScheduleOnce seems like it would fit into a slightly different niche but definitely looks like a good tool.

Any others?

You can also try ScheduleOnce for finding a time for meetings, by polling, sharing free\busy times and converting times for multiple time zones.

First of all thanks for the shout out! I'm glad you enjoyed checkyesorno.info. I should say that the excellent design was dropped by Gordon Brander (gordonbrander.com).

I agree that twitter is an excellent resource for new apps and services. I also use techcrunch.com to see what's coming up and snag some early invites if I get there in time, and more recently I've been using friendfeed.com, specifically the 'invites room'.

One app that I've really been into recently is http://mobaganda.com/. Though I don't plan enough events to use it as much as I'd like to.

I'm checking out http://www.timetomeet.info/ via your post. Thanks for the round up!

When I meet people claiming to be in the field of "ed tech" who have not embraced these paths to information, I immediately doubt their ability to be competent.
